My roommates and I are making our own fangame and I'm using my Hoenn remixes as well as some original compositions in the game. I'm finally utilizing both my computer science skills and music skills in one project! Anyways, I'm looking for feedback on my music as well as suggestions for my future compositions. Good job, briman! I'm no way an expert at frequency balancing, but I would say that the bass tones are a little low on your Route 104 remix when the drums come in. I can't really hear them on my external monitors, but I'm sure I'd be able to hear them better with earphones. I also really like your composition Route 135. It reminds me a lot of the Mario & Luigi RPG's. xD Very nice.

I like how you have a great grasp of the typical Pokemon style and can demonstrate it in both your battle theme and overworld themes. I am not the greatest with overworld themes personally, so I'm all the more impressed by your work! Route 135 was also one of my favorites of the bunch. Keep us in the loop and let us know if you update the directory so we can have a listen! Loving battle themes as much as I do, I am particularly interested in other themes that you come up with, especially if they are orchestral in nature like the others that you have are.  |

Thanks! I'm pretty proud of 135 and the trainer battle...I can't decide how I feel about the hometown theme. Overall I like it but it always feels like there's something missing.

Thinking with the critical cap on: maybe it wouldn't work for any of the themes you have currently, but think about maybe some pizzicato bass, something a bit different from the low contrabass string note per measure that you have now. And the brass! You can do so many things with the brass family of instruments, you dipped into it a bit already. Maybe try some trumpets! Hoenn fanatics love those  |
