I had looked into the same thing in the past (before I got interested into the Mystery Dungeon music as much as I am now). I just haven't given myself the chance at this yet. I do plan to give a try at editing one day, but as it stands right now I think my computer is on it's last stand. Hopefully, with time, I can buy a much better computer for whatever purposes I want. Whether that be gaming, editing, or what I do want to give FL a shot one day. Other than that it's just finding the MIDI files that I would need (which are probably gonna be pretty easy to find). It's good to find a discussion going on about it though! Something to look back on in case I ever need help or tip! I'll have a place to look and ask for help whenever that happens too =D Sometimes it's easier (and sounds better) to arrange the notes yourself instead of hunting for a good MIDI...I know that the Kalos Wild Battle MIDI I found sounded absolutely awful with instrument swaps.

I guess the main thing is try experiment first hand at first and see what works best. Back in High School (way back in 07 lol) I had a class where I had to opportunity to work on Garage Band on the Mac they had. While it was a little difficult at first (seriously small keyboard) there were no guidelines to learn how to use it in class. Being not-so-skilled with a computer back then (especially MACs) I had little success with it. It all really depends on how it becomes as you work with it as well. I know there's probably some pieces the Remixers here have scrapped completely because it just didn't come out right. All it takes is some time a little "creativity" sometimes. It's something to take to mind. MIDI's aren't always the answer there. Yeah I know what you mean there I've heard a few that were't "THAT" great. Whenever I finally get a chance to work with it I'll be sure to try different ways with and without the MIDI files. It'd be hard to change around MIDI files to fit any changes to add your own creativity to it I'd guess.
