I'm a little tired at the moment, so forgive the random bullets. Let me know what you guys think: - Have we considered any sort of Facebook/Google+/Twitter/etc. page(s) for social media outreach? I would hate to see the forum stagnate because we recruit only the members that are in our current Skype groups or immediate bubbles.
- Forum design-wise, I think it would be pretty awesome if we had forum-wise participate in creating the logos/backgrounds/etc. for the forum. Maybe we can have design submissions from forum members, and eventually a community vote on packaged themes?
- As far as domain names go, would something like pokemusicverse.com be a good bet long-term? What are the options for freeforum domain name integration?
Thoughts are welcome. I know I may be jumping the gun as this has just started, but I think that the conversation is a good one to have, even if things are implemented down the road.

1st) Facebook page/Twitter account sounds like a good idea. Me and TheGuitahHeroe (some others too I think) have also been telling our followers to check out the forum in Twitter and I have for example been thinking of mentioning about the forum for my subscribers next time I upload remixes to YouTube. The idea is indeed to get more people to join here than just the people from Skype groups we're in because we see those people every day and besides, there wouldn't be enough people to keep conversation on this forum.
2nd) Sounds great idea too, I'm supporting this (hope TGH is with me on this too). I'm pretty sure there's some talented artists on this forum who can create nice logos and backgrounds for this forum. Are they willing, perhaps, because I don't think we can't offer any price besides that we'll use the winner's art on the forum. If no one's too keen for competition though, we could also change the design every month and use different people's logos and backgrounds on the forum. I'm not quite sure if that gets a bit too confusing though.
3rd) I can't really answer to this since the forum is made by TGH.
Overall, great suggestions Lala! (:

Did somebody say talented artist? I'd be willing to lend a hand with design, provided I could find the time for it. Aside from that, it'd be plenty helpful in the long run if we take the initiative on a lot of these points.

Aside from that, it'd be plenty helpful in the long run if we take the initiative on a lot of these points. Yessssssss....we are in desperate need of a banner and a background....I have absolutely no visual artistic talent whatsoever, it took all the vision I had just to make my logo. Member submissions are a superb idea. Coffee, it'd be pretty awesome if you could lend a hand! And I encourage others who are also artistically talented to do the same. Question: What do you guys think about having a contest for banners and backgrounds? We could have multiple artists participate and then have a members' consensus poll to decide the winners. I think this would get us our best possible visual design. Opinions? On another note, Hydra is setting up our social media presence, so that's covered. I'll check out the domain name options when I have time. Thank you for bringing more attention to these issues, Lala

Of course, I wonder if we could offee multiple themes for users to choose from as well - can't users specify the theme that would appear specifically in their browser only? More thoughts~

More thoughts~ That's what we had back in Pokémon Zone, wasn't it? I don't see any reason why not to use it again.

Definitely something to consider...perhaps if two submissions are dazzling, we can use them both.
Speaking of which, SobBaget should be setting up the contests soon enough.

I'm going to college for computer science and it's my main passion (music being my second), so I can help with any backend things for the forum or its design. I might even be able to host a dedicated server for the forum if TGH wants to move it off of freeforums.net at any point.

Have my own Windows Server 2012 R2 machine with Hyper-V running a couple things here and there, still learning about IIS and the like. If we go this route I would be happy to lend a hand with this as well. Anybody say phpBB?

I'd most likely be able to do a database transfer as well if I knew the format of both databases, which wouldn't be too hard to figure out.

Proboards is rather limiting in the features that they allow and if we ever wanted to go with something like pokemusicverse.com, they charge for integrating with the domain. Heck no, we could just manage it ourselves! DEFIANCE!

I'm not sure if my server can handle two websites and a game server, but I could at least handle the domain and help manage the site on whomever's server it gets hosted on in the event that we move.

You already have one, what's another $15 for two years? GoDaddy has a sale for $0.99 for the first year if you can get to the proper promo page through google. Besides, if you don't nab it, I will probably try at some point. Run it by TGH if you do, just so we are all on the same page. I went a little crazy with spending money on this server, so even if it's not top of the line it is still in need of a good purpose because it is capable of a decent amount of...well, anything really!
