So, there's a problem I'm having with my recent videos. I'm trying to put in the moving cursor along with the music, but the music seems to chop up when recording. I'm using OBS to attempt to record, so I would love to hear what I could do, or if I should just do what Bespiben does and take screenshots and put them along the video.
Also, if there's any video editing programs that can edit .flv files, feel free to tell me about it as well.

Regarding OBS specifically, in the settings you can just change the output file extension from .flv to .mp4, so you don't need any fancy programs to view or edit it.
Not sure what you can do about choppy sound (as I only started looking into OBS the other day myself), but if you already have the soundtrack/music rendered out separately, maybe it would be possible to take just the video from whatever you're recording, and put it into the video editing software of your choice with the soundtrack playing alongside it, and then re-export it.

If this is FL Studio, you can just turn down the graphic settings, that will reduce the amount of fancy things happening on the UI. And anything accessing the disk or using the CPU while recording is going to make things less smooth.

Regarding OBS specifically, in the settings you can just change the output file extension from .flv to .mp4, so you don't need any fancy programs to view or edit it. ... Well, I feel dumb there. XD Not sure what you can do about choppy sound (as I only started looking into OBS the other day myself), but if you already have the soundtrack/music rendered out separately, maybe it would be possible to take just the video from whatever you're recording, and put it into the video editing software of your choice with the soundtrack playing alongside it, and then re-export it. Welp, Windows Movie Maker isn't the best exporter since it condenses the quality of the video a bit, but I'll see what I can do. If this is FL Studio, you can just turn down the graphic settings, that will reduce the amount of fancy things happening on the UI. And anything accessing the disk or using the CPU while recording is going to make things less smooth. I use Finale PrintMusic 2008. Still, I'll see what I could do with the User Interface. And it should only record PrintMusic, nothing else. So I'll see what I can do there. Thanks for the help, you two!
