I wouldn't exactly call myself an a beginner composer, but the work I've done so far has been in Finale, since I originally started composing and arranging only for piano. The problem is that Finale is super limited in the music development department, and it is extremely limited in terms of instruments. So. What DAWs should I use (for Mac)(preferably something intuitive yet versatile)? What good soundfonts or plugins could I download?
A DAW with a note inputter like Finale's would be cool, since I don't have a MIDI keyboard and I find the onscreen keyboard to be slightly finicky.

I know nothing here and have not used a DAW before.
From the other threads, I heard about Logic and Garageband. Logic is definitely said to be complicated. Those are for Mac. I don't know how they are though.
