WELCOME TO MUNDO'S SHOSE COFFEE'S COFFEE SHOP
anyway, I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to the silly sketches that come from my wacky brain time and time again.
I haven't had a lot of time to draw the past couple of months due to real life complications, so I've turned to more convenient personal projects for creative outlets. As time goes on, however, I can assure you that I will be regurgitating content more often!
As for details on my arts-a-farts, I pretty much always do traditional pencil art n' sketches. (how do i even tablet/color)
i don't actually serve coffee please don't sue
If you have any interest in drawing but don't feel confident in your abilities, take a gander at this little motivational word before you look at my nonsense: I want to let all you people out there who want to be able to draw hear a little somefin': Drawing is an acquired skill, and NOBODY is born able to do it. If you want to draw, please for the love of all that is good and holy DO IT. The first piece down there is the first time I've done a serious drawing in seven months, because holy wow does time fly. BUT I do not think this was in any way a product of talent. Only just the previous November (2013, that is) did I make my leap from little doodles in my class notes to actually drawing in a sketchbook, and I'll say that I'm pretty happy I finally did it. I can not stress enough how important it is to draw if you aspire to do so-- it's a lot of fun when I can find the time, and I've had some pretty neat stuff come out of my noggin-box. Drawing may seem intimidating, but hey, I'm scared to death to start getting into music and I'm doing it anyway. I'll shoot you a couple of facts about how I'm rigged up. Hopefully, doing this will show you that I am probably not an adept, and you don't have to be either.
With that out of the way, enjoy!
THE ARTS:
I pulled this together so I could have something to submit for my school's literary magazine. I went hard with the bold lines in hope that it stands out among the rest of the pencil-art pieces. Lineart done from memory, inaccuracies (hopefully) removed on the second run. Took ~2-3 hours, and resulted in some crazy arm and hand soreness. I'm a huge fan of Earthbound, as I'm sure you can tell.
fuzzy pickles.

- I don't really color stuff or do digital art, as much as I'd like to - ...but that doesn't mean it can't be your forte!
- I really wasn't happy with the Ness piece below until I finally scanned it onto my computer - Don't ever let insecurity get to you, too many novice artists give up because of this insecurity.
- I have no idea how anatomy works - Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever taken a specifically-art class. You don't need to learn by readin' books.
- I just started srsbsns drawing at the end of 2013 - It's never too late to start.
- I'm still terrified to share my work - ...but the smiles it brings to me, and even others is well worth it.
- The tools you use matter - I just transitioned from using mechanical pencils to Palomino Blackwings and I gotta say that the lines go the way you want waaay faster. (Though I still use mechanicals for the first lineart)
