I started this a really long time ago, and I got stuck. This is a trend for me, it seems. I know that this is mixed poorly (I need to let up on the low notes and lower the reverb so it's not so muddy). I just need some ideas on how to continue. Maybe some fixes on what's already there. app.box.com/s/8gcz2r9y62ut2iakhmdp

You have a good idea of what you want to do with this. I like what you have so far! I agree that the low octave notes need to be softened just a bit more, though I feel like they are better from the last time I listened to this. If it's the same file, then I will just feel silly. xD Sounds like you're still stuck on that pickup at the end. I kid you not, when you get stuck sometimes random note clicking in FL goes a long way. The idea is to do something that is so ridiculous that you lax up on any inhibition you may have, laugh a little bit about the silly random nonsense that you are adding on, then maybe hear something cool in that random nonsense. Then a simple cleanup occurs, followed by awesomeness. Composition is definitely one of those things that you have to just go for sometimes. If all else fails, start another pattern and just start letting stuff flow. Maybe you can tie the patterns together, or maybe it will inspire new awesomeness. To be honest, I'm still not 100% sure where that pickup at the end is taking you - perhaps a continuation of the melody with an inversion of the hands? I mean to suggest that maybe you should play around with a continuation of the melody in the lower register while providing support, which is typically the "left hand bits," in the higher ranges. If that pickup is giving you issues at the end, ax it temporarily and see if you can flow with that. If not, bring it back and doodle some more. Good luck though! Keep us posted!

Well... Prepare to feel silly then, haha. Though, I'm thinking that I have a bit of an idea of what I want. I'll just lower the reverb and bass velocity.

I agree with Lala that the bass notes should be softened because it's really hiding the melody. Maybe you could add in a bit of dynamic variation with your bass notes, too. Just don't make the soft entirely, but mess around with it and add some diminuendos and crescendos. I think you could really do some great stuff with it.
Also, about the ending, it sounds like you've resolved in a major key (it could also still be minor, but major could add some contrast). So, you could create a completely new melody or perhaps you could do something simple and do like a "theme and variations" on your original melody in your new key. Either would work.
Nice work so far!
