Are there any band members here? Be it school, outside anything, if so what do you play?
Imma trumpet so that should explain why I'm always posting and babbling

Never played in a band, but I did learn the harmonica (totally worth it) and did some shenanigans with some of my band buddies. I intend to learn either the guitar or piano over the next few years, once I eventually decide on one...

When I was in High School, I played the French Horn in Concert Band, Piano in Jazz Band, and Mellophone in Marching Band. Haven't been in school, but I still play the piano here and there when I'm bored. (Also, I play the Organ in Church, so there's that.)

8 years ago back in my Sophomore year in High School yeah I was part of the Percussion in band and enjoyed it. Haven't really played on an instrument since High School though other than playing from memory a few tunes from Mystery Dungeon (or trying to at least lol).

I played the trumpet for a brief while in my Air Cadet squadron's marching band, but I was crap at it so I quit.

I play percussion for the community band and drumset/vibes for the community college jazz band right now. I was a lot more active with bands during high school, though I'm working towards fixing that these days.

I used to play both the Clarinet and Saxophone in Band class. I gave up because I couldn't stand having to come to school early saturday mornings to practice.

i dont even like most emo music Who are you lying to? Anyways, never been in a school band or in a band either. I don't think that kind of system takes place in the schools I've been (even though I've sang and played bass and guitar in some school events but I don't really think it's like a school band). Never been in a band, I've played some metal with few friends but it never went into anything serious. I'm mostly a lone wolf, though there's certain people I love to work with.

I've never been in a band or played in the school band, although I DID play violin in my school's orchestra for five and a half years.

During marching season we had to come to 3 hour rehersals multiple times a week... yeah i cant blame you yeah practice got to a point where it was pretty tough. Being part of the Percussion back in high school (not in drumline) it was pretty tough having to carry around all the hugh bells, xylophones, marimbas and all. Worst memory of it was back in 2005 (a quick note beforehand is my hearing is super sensitive and this was a little after the big hurricane Katrina..some of it's remnants hit here) so about 15 mins into practice outside I hear thunder when there's barely any clouds in the sky. Of course no one believed me when I brought it up with the other people in the frontline. So another 5 mins and it got louder. Another 5 a some dark clouds roll in while thunder gets louder. SO pretty much as the storm is on us the director tells us to head in. Just as we start leaving the field it starts pouring, winds gusting us to about 60 mph, lightning. Everything that could go wrong...of course I was stuck with the broken maramba as well and the other person helping carry it decided it'd be a good idea to try and fix it IN the rain and wind lol. Never felt rain hurt so much in my life xD Other than that experience it was only 3 weekdays a week for practice. Most (luckily) for my group was inside since we didn't have to march at all. Just play on the frontline while everyone else was outside in the heat practicing the marches. Other than that most my best memories of HS were with my friends in band Freshman and Sophomore years. Haven't played in years though. Just tried playing, by ear, a few pieces of gaming music on my superly out-of-tune piano.

I've managed to learn a few songs by ear to play on my cornet and 50$ cheap keyboard, I learned the smash bros intro song so far and gourmet race. But yeah...I might leave it next year because my schedule is just filled up with crap. That and im mostly friends with uper class men and the lower classmen are very...well... "unintelligible" I guess you could say. Plus I've kinda lost inspiration to be in band really
