So here is an idea. Remixer 1 has started a remix, but he cannot finish it. After many months of working on it, he just decided to scrap it.
Let's also say that Remixer 2 wants to make a remix of that same song, but she has no idea how to start it or what to do, because she is in a block. (Meaning the motivation is there, but you just can't do it for some reason)
So to solve the problems of both remixers, I propose this idea: Adopt an FLP. We would have a section of a forum dedicated to this and the people who offer FLPs will post threads with the title of the remix and a rendered MP3 file to show what it sounds like so people will know what they're getting in to. If someone is interested, you private message them a link to the download and they'll download it and work on it.
Now about credit. It's up to the two people who gets the credit and posts it on their channel. But I would say that they would count it as a collaboration, put both of their names in the title and say in the description that it was a revived project started by the OP. And I would also say that both people have the right to post the final project on their channels if they want to. But again, it's up to the people doing this.
Oh and one more thing! If the person who is interested is using a different DAW, you can render a MIDI file for them to put in their DAW and work on the project.
Not sure if I missed anything but, tell me what you think. Do you think this is a good idea?
