Greetings fine ladies, shrewd gentlemen, and all mellifluous non-binaries and ages! You all know me as MorningCoffee, (good thing I don't know me as that) and I have come to you today with something I've been waiting to share for a little while, and it seems there's no better place to post this. So, without further ado, I present to you the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Project!
Okay, so what's this whole generically-named "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Project?"
I'm glad you didn't ask! The PMDP is a project that was started almost 2 years ago by a rag-tag bunch of talented misfits, now coined The Breakfast Brigade, who all have one common interest that's united us: our love for the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. The lot of us wanted to challenge ourselves by creating our own tribute to the series: a world of our own composition, based on that of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games that we hold to our hearts so dearly. Something along the lines of a virtual monument? (OR SHOULD I SAY A POKEMONUMENT DUEHUEHUE) This is, however, not the first time we've done something like this, though; it's been something of a tradition since many of us were youngsters. Back during January of 2013, we had our third go at doing this-- but for some reason it fell flat, interests diminished, and we all dispersed. So, later that year (March 14, 2013; but who's counting, right?) I was talking with my buddy Owen and said "Hey, how about we give this another try? Why should everyone else's disinterest stop us?" So with that, we were off. We began working that summer, and into that winter... until real life complications finally stopped me from being able to actively work with Owen's enthusiasm, halted work, and tossed us into a hiatus. Some time passed, and the semi-loved Gates to Infinity hit the shelves. This was enough to rekindle our interest in working, with the addition of multiple new active helpers, and we slowly resumed toil towards our eventual goal. Things slowed again however, and things stagnated until that July (2014) when I had some epiphany that pulled me and Owen back into more active work. Though this time, Owen was much busier with life and just didn't have the same time to spare towards the project. I've been working quite a bit since then, and despite high school rolling around and slowing down work once more, many more people have hopped on board, and we all continue to this day in our work towards the finish line. Why do we keep putting stock into this? Because we want to see the seed we planted grow and eventually prosper.
tl;dr we're a bunch of PMD nuts.
Backstories aside, you've still yet to mention what this is all being done in.
This "world" is being built in a LEGO-esque sandbox game known as Blockland. It was initially released in 2004 and made by a single dude in the ever-stilted Torque Game Engine.
Waiwaiwait-whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. This is being built in what's pretty much a virtual LEGO simulator? Don't you think that's a little, well, weird?
It is totally 100% weird, but Blockland has the scripting power, intricate detailing, easy-to-use interface, and homely environment that allows us to produce content so well. There's still a decent chunk of us who just don't have to experience yet to make a full-scale fangame.
We're weird people. It's what we do. People brag about being weird on this forum-- see if you can 1-Up the gang of adolescent artistic roleplayer-gamers who play with virtual LEGOs.
Who's this "Breakfast Brigade" you've been talking about?
A well-bonded coalition of buddies, most of us who met through Blockland. Some of us are artists, hardcore gamers, nerds, dweebs, writers, musicians, coders, legends-to-be, reincarnations of Stephen King, and we've even got a student of carpentry in tow.
Alright then, so do you guys actually plan to DO anything with this world once you build and share it?
We all are fans of tabletop shenanigans (think Dungeons and Dragons) or other forms of nerdy roleplaying, so we plan to use it for a PMD Roleplay; sophisticated plot, coded events, some special music, scripted battle system and everything! This is about as close you could get to a game without it being an actual game. (compare it to DotA and Warcraft III development-wise)
Farther down the road, I hope to adapt this into a fangame with the rest of the team one day.
You guys are a bunch of geeks and/or weirdos.
thanks
Anyway, what if I by some ridiculous odds own/don't own Blockland and want to get in on this?
Anyone who wants to get in on any aspect of this would be wayyy more than appreciated, even if it's just to see what we've got going down-- just contact me if you're interested!
Got any content to share with us?
Yes, all of our artistic instinctives absolutely implore you to look at what we've got to show you. We've put a big emphasis on originality and shoving as much as we can into this hot-pocket without losing sight of that magic of PMD that rekindles the taste of innocence from our childhoods.

Let's kick off by showing you all a Guild of our own.
A particularly piney mountain.
A particularly on-fire everything.
UNLESS IT'S A FARM
A cozy town situated along a river.
Amidst the fog, a rather plain bridge.
A dungeon aimed to mimic the atmosphere of Steam Cave.
An outdoor shot of the dungeon.
...and a rather obvious nod to the games.
A rather feudal, cultural village.
are you feelin my Mt. Blaze vibes
More Mt. Blaze vibes
and Mt. Thunder vibes.
More Mt. Thunder vibes.
Unfortunately, our Mt. Freeze vibes aren't quite ready for action yet
On another note, we've intended to have our own unique puzzles...
...in our own unique dungeons...
...with their own unique themes...
...and their own unique spices.
Another town, thriving off an oasis among the sands.
Fear not, purists, I packed a special treat for you.
Didn't quite recognize the last? Here's a better look.
It's still under renovation, but we wanted a bluff of our own.
Of course, we have more original ways of nodding to the games.
One of our builders couldn't get enough of how some of BRT/RRT's houses looked like fruits.
This interior may be a bit nostalgic for some of you.
Or maybe this one?
And perhaps this one?
The same builder also whipped up a neat little cafe of our own.
blatant reference
[----UPDATE 4/29----]
Sorry, couldn't come up with a beach pun.
It's made me harbor a grudge.
totally-not Town Square, complete with a Storage Shed(inja)
Interior shot of the Inn
Second floor of the Inn
I was listening to Kamex's Jazz Remix of Goodnight while building this
it would appear you have rock
No, this place is not supposed to make sense.
Yes, that is an upside-down toilet in the background.
Mt. Mailbox
Murder-your-friends Mountain
nothing suspicious here
inexplicable cave of evil
[----UPDATE 8/21----]
mildly significant bridge
Shot of the new town we've been working on!
And another shot...
...and one more!
Scenic rope-bridge that Coffee didn't build
Lastly, our super-secret thing that is taking unprecedented amounts of time to make
